Adversity: some people come in and talk about how “silly” they feel because their problems aren’t as bad as someone experiencing worse problems. I always tell them that it doesn’t matter because other people’s problems are not “your” problems, and your problems are the ones causing you to suffer. So let’s deal with those without all the comparison. Some people have no problem dealing with their problems and face adversity with grace and dignity. Such as the example below. However, even this man can relate to all of us who feel insecure, alone, ugly, not good enough, and worthless. Working to restructure your thinking allows you freedom from “the critic” in your head. The funny thing about adversity is that it is completely dependent on how you see it.
