Cognitive Therapy’s Use For Teenage Depression

Teenage depression is one of the scariest things a parent can experience. Usually because of the impulsive nature of teenagers and their propensity to “magnify” their thoughts. (i.e. breaking up with her boyfriend is the “worst” thing that could ever happen to her). Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has proven it’s worth in all populations. Teenagers especially work very well with this therapeutic technique because it gives them a sense of control over their raging emotions, and helps build their self esteem. If your teen is struggling with depression come to Rejuvenate to find out about the Cognitive Triad and how to reduce the harmful effects of depression on your loved one.
